From the ethical principles of sustainability and the circular economy comes the art design of Dixpari. Dixpari is a project by Carolina and Isabella Candelo, who, together with their father Roberto, lead the family business SPA S.p.A., dedicated to the moulding and injection of thermoplastic material.
The company has always sought a balance between intelligent production and environmental respect, achieving its goal of becoming a clean, zero-emissions company. In the company, themes related to sustainability, recycling, and the reuse of industrial remnants have always been a priority, and it is precisely from these reflections that the idea for a form of artistic recycling was born.
The Dixpari art design project focuses on the production of lamps and luminous sculptures made from production remnants.
Meaning, coloured emotions, and tactile sensations: dixpari lamps carry messages and offer expressiveness.
Founded in 2017, dixpari’s initial experiments gained depth and new meanings over time, also drawing inspiration from the global events of 2020.
From the first creations, which sought expressiveness in colourful, translucent surfaces and textures, they began to experiment with the inclusion of other waste elements from different production sectors, such as masks or small everyday objects. This highlighted the concept of recycling within recycling, keeping environmental protection at the forefront. The latest lamps integrate steel and aluminium milling remnants from SPA’s mould production, as well as copper shavings, offering new interpretations and expanding the discussion to other industries.
Dixpari lamps thus become a medium to convey messages, emotions, and thoughts, or to evoke situations, fully expressing the profound meanings of art design.
